I’ve created a NEW calendar just to start posting events that we do to help separate the mess of NET’s and training. SO, please shoot the webmaster@w5ias.com any events that need to get added.. TARC Go Fund Me

The Tulsa Amateur Radio Club has been operating since 1924 and provides invaluable communications support to Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma. Through the use of its numerous repeater sites, TARC helps provide our area critical communications infrastructure that provides uninterrupted service during times of emergencies. Recently, one of our antennas was damaged during a storm. This antenna (estimated to be worth $3,000) had to be replaced. Fortunately, our club had a backup antenna. Tuesday, October 8, 2024 3:45 PM Eastern Update: Winlink officials are requesting that all non-essential Winlink traffic (weekly nets, testing, etc.) be postponed until after hurricane Milton has moved on and response efforts have turned to recovery. “There is still a lot of traffic in the aftermath of Helene, and we expect Milton will add significantly to that. Sunday, October 6, 2024 9:00 PM Eastern Update: Hurricane Milton was located just over 300 miles west-northeast of Progreso, Mexico, and 835 miles west-southwest of Tampa, Florida with winds of 100 miles per hour. Hurricane Milton was moving in an east-southeast direction at 6 mph and is forecasted to arrive near Tampa, Florida on Wednesday as at least a Category 3. MFJ Ceasing On-Site Production

MFJ Enterprises, Inc. founder Martin F. Jue, K5FLU, announced that as of May 17, 2024, the company will cease on-site production at their Starkville, Mississippi, facility. Ameritron, Hy-Gain, Cushcraft, Mirage, and Vectronics brand products will be affected by the shutdown. DLARC Preserves “Ham Radio & More” Radio Show

Ham Radio & More was a radio show about amateur radio that was broadcast from 1991 through 1997. More than 300 episodes of the program are now available online as part of the Digital Library of Amateur Radio & Communications (DLARC). Ham Radio & More was the first radio show devoted to ham radio on the commercial radio band.
