Tulsa County ARES – Simulated Emergency Test

The Tulsa County Amateur Radio Emergency Services organization will be conducting the annual Simulated Emergency Test (SET).  This is an exercise that tests our processes and skills that we would use during an actual emergency.  The exercise will begin at 0900 on Saturday, October 5.  We will be using several local repeaters along with Winlink gateways.  We are also coordinating with Rogers County on their SET as well.  Operations begin with volunteers checking in on the Staging Net at 0900 using the 145.110 repeater.  Volunteers will then be given a tasking to change frequencies to another net based upon their […]

NARCfest 2024 Nixa, MO

HAMFEST/CONVENTION The Nixa ARC hamfest is used to raise funds to support the Southwest Missouri Linked Repeater System of which the Nixa ARC is a founding partner. In 2024, we were able to add a new repeater in Golden City, MO to help cover the Joplin, Barton County and other areas out into Kansas and Oklahoma much better. This repeater is linked to the SMLRS 100% of the time and can be accessed on 146.790-, PL 91.5 Hz. NCO Training

Have you wanted to become a Net Control Operator? We will be conducting NCO training on Saturday, November 16.  This is an in-person course that will cover all the skills needed to become an NCO. We have openings for NCO's for almost every day of the week.  All kinds of nets - from informal to formal. The training is open to all licensed operators regardless of club affiliation.
