TARC Club Trailer

The TARC Comm Trailer is a customized 14’ tandem axle 2020 enclosed cargo trailer with a dry weight of 2200 lbs. and GVWR of up to 7000 lbs. (The trailer has been towed extensively with a Ford F150.) There is a 30” entry door on the right side and dual barn doors on the rear. The trailer is wired for 120V AC and converted 12V DC power, including a12V backup deep cycle battery. There is a 30 Amp external power inlet and 50Amp internal power panel with circuit protection for both AC and DC.

There is a heavy duty adjustable drop/rise hitch that is part of the trailer equipment and may be used with a tow vehicle with a standard 2” receiver. The hitch has reversible 2” and 2 5/16” hitch balls. The trailer must be towed with the 2 5/16” ball.

The 120v roof mounted air conditioner must only be used when adequate power is available. When used with lighting and radio equipment total demand will exceed 2000 watts. It has been experienced that a 1500 watt space heater adequately heats the trailer when the outside temperature does not get much lower than 35°.

There are three operator stations in the trailer and a designated fourth external position with a 120v outlet. Each internal station is served by 120V outlets, 5V usb ports, two 12V cables with Powepoles and two coax jumpers with PL-259 connectors for VHF/UHF and HF connected to an external antenna jumper panel box
